MUMBAI: B.R Chopra's Mahabharat which was released in the year 1988 became huge among the viewers.

It was one of the most successful mythological drama shows of those times. 

Running successfully for the span of two years from 1988 to 1990, Mahabharat kept the viewers glued to the screens. 

The makers tried their best to create a classic show maintaining the essence and with the stellar star cast, Mahabharat is still considered to be one of the best shows of all time.

The show had a huge star cast who went on to become household names for their respective characters. 

Well, there are many well-known faces of the film and TV industry who had contributed to the show. 

Not many are aware that popular TV actor Sumeet Raghavan who is known for his show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was also a part of this mytho-drama. Yes, you heard it right!

Not many are aware that Sumeet played the role of young Sudama in the show.

Sumeet was very young back then and is barely recognizable in the above picture. 

We are sure that a lot of people must have missed Sumeet's appearance in the show.

On the work front, Sumeet is currently seen in SAB TV's show Wagle Ki Duniya. 

He has previously been a part of shows like Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo, Badi Door Se Aaye Hai, Sanjivani - A Medical Boon among others. 

The actor has also starred in films like Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, My Name Is Khan, Firaa, U Me Aur Hum among others.
