Swastik Productions has been on a high with their dream project on Star Plus, Mahabharat enjoying a great run. As reported, Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary planned to narrate the never-told-story of King Ashoka, but with that project being shelved owing to the rival channel Colors coming up with a sudden announcement on the same project, he now has altered his move.

Rather than coming up with a historical, Siddharth Tewary is presently working on a social drama, which will be based on the concept of ‘love and hate’. Tentatively titled Man Marziya, the show is being planned for Star Plus.

At present, the casting process for the show has begun, and we hear that talks are on with some big names.

A source states, “Monica Bedi who made a debut into TV fiction in the powerful character of Guman in Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra has been offered the mother’s role. However, nothing has been locked as of now.”

When contacted, Monica told us, “Well, I can only say that I am in talks for few shows.”

We dropped a text message to Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary, but did not receive any revert till the time we filed the story.

Tellychakkar.com has already exclusively reported that Swastik Productions is working on a comedy show for SAB TV.
