Actress Tanya Sharma struck ‘gold’ playing Gopi’s daughter Meera in Star Plus’ popular show, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (Rashmi Sharma Productions). 

For Tanya, Saathiya was a big break with respect to the importance and popularity the character has garnered over the years.

Playing Meera, Tanya dazzled in the role, and her on-screen chemistry with Amarr Upadhyay has been liked by one and all!!

But now, Tanya’s future in Saathiya seems bleak, with her apparently getting into a war of words with the maker, Rashmi Sharma. 

As per a credible source, “Tanya had been throwing her weight around on the sets with respect to the upcoming track. The creative team had lot of issues with her over her work flow. The bubble burst recently when Tanya was eventually called to discuss her future in Saathiya with Producer Rashmi Sharma.”

Apparently, things did not work and the discussion across the table with the producer ended up in a huge argument, post which Rashmi has apparently asked her to leave the show. 

If sources are to be believed, Tanya’s last day of shoot for Saathiya will be around 20^th of this month. 

When contacted, Tanya said, “I am not moving out of the show as of now.”

When probed over the discussion turning into an argument with producer, Tanya said, “Yes, I had a meeting with Rashmiji and my creative. We discussed the pros and cons of the track. I was not keen on becoming a mother. But I was explained the importance of the track ahead and I was convinced. I am not going anywhere.”

Our efforts to reach out to Producer Rashmi Sharma and the channel spokesperson proved futile. 

We hear that Meera will presently be seen going missing in Saathiya, after which the makers will decide on the further course of action.
