In spite of destiny having outsmarted them, not once but twice, Shyam and Radha of Star Plus' Pyaar Ke Do Naam…Ek Radha Ek Shyaam will again be fighting the odds in the 21st century. As per our source, Tarun Khanna of Kittu Sab Janti Hain fame has been penciled in as the new negative element of this love saga. He plays Ajay Singh Rathod, Shyam's (Indraneil Sengupta) cousin, who nurtures a major grudge against his maternal grandfather, Vikrant Raj Rana (Shiv Subramaniam). Shyam is the only member of the family who finds no reason to be vindictive. Going in the flashback mode, the story is that Ajay's father was killed by Vikrant Rana, which creates a major rift between the Rathod and the Rana family. Ajay's paternal grandfather, Gajendra Singh Rathod (Mukesh Khanna) instigates him to avenge the untimely death of his father. He thus becomes the bone of contention between both the families. This poses a problem in Kisna's and Radha's relationship, as latter is Vikrant Rana's granddaughter. About Tarun's introduction in the show on 7 August: On the eve of a remembrance ceremony held for Ajay Rathod's father, members of the Rana family come over to pay their respect. An altercation occurs between them, whereupon Ajay (Tarun) marks his entry by placing a pistol on Vikrant Rana's head and threatens to shoot him. Hope this effort of infusing a twist in the track will push the TRP's of this show!
