Good days are back in Bollywood. After the super success of Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger (Yash Raj Films), now comes Anurag Basu’s Barfi which has caught the imagination of the masses.

Although trade pundits believe that this film will not make huge moolah as Ek Tha, but it will surely captivate hearts and minds of millions all across the globe. Most critics have given it 4+ stars. One reviewer stated the movie “superbly shows the art of living”.

In this huge positive word of mouth spreading through social media, many TV actors have also praised the efforts of Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and newbie Ileana D'Cruz in the flick. We spoke to a few of them and this is what they had to say.

Krystle Dsouza of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Star Plus) checked it out on Friday night. “It was a late night show yet the multiplex was packed. I was so super bowled over by the work of all actors that the three hours passed in a jiffy and I was left asking for more. I am a big time Ranbir fan and really love his looks. He has also really improved as an actor with every passing film. Priyanka and Ileana were also super impressive.”

Krystle also felt that, “Bollywood has finally come to a stage where meaningfull cinema also rocks and you just don’t need masala and item songs to sell your film.”

Shilpa Anand believed that what really has worked for this film is the emotional quotient. “You have everything; you laugh and cry equally, so I am sure that both the masses and the classes will appreciate it. Hats off to Ranbir who has done a superb job, just think about it he had no dialogues so had to express through his eyes.”

Vahbbiz Dorabjee is yet to watch the film but is super excited about it. “I will soon check it out as soon as fiancée Vivian (Dsena) has some free time. I am really looking forward to it as I have heard rave reviews and the promos look superb.”

Even Vahbbiz is a big Ranbir fan.“He is superb looker and the fact that he can act very well is the icing on the cake. Otherwise what use are good looks, if you can act for nuts.” She however does not want her guy to pick any tips from Ranbir, “each actor is unique right.”

Not only the fair sex even Tellywood guys are going ga-ga over Ranbir’s power-packed performance as a dumb and mute Casanova in Barfi.
Ravi Dubey said, “He is too good. I will remember this film only for Ranbir.” Ravi went a step further in his adulation for Ranbir and said that, “apart from Tom Hanks he is the only actor who I look upon for inspiration. He has an awesome range in his acting repertoire.”

Ravi also fully salutes the kinds of risks Ranbir has taken in career. “I believe that in today’s time and age you have to take risks lest you will get nowhere.”

Last but not the least Aamir Ali is also totally fida over by the film. “After Three Idiots, if any film has impressed me is this one. I feel that the real hero of Barfi is the director, Anurag Basu, who has stolen the show. The film is perfect in all departments i.e. superb acting, great music, excellent screen play and cinematography.
Everybody is only talking about the main stars but you also should appreciate the efforts put in by the supporting cast. Saurabh Shukla was very good as well.”

So guys rush to the nearest theater and check Barfi and do let us know how did you feel after watching the movie!!!
