MUMBAI: This weekend, the sets of Indian Idol will be graced by the cast of the new historic show on Sony Entertainment Television, Punyashlok Ahilyabai. The show starring Rajesh Shringarpure who plays the role of Malharrao Holkar, and Aditi Jaltare, who is essaying the iconic role of Ahilyabai Holkar, will be seen revealing some unknown facts about this year's magnum opus project, which is receiving immense love and appreciation from the audience.
In a bid to cheer up and motivate the cast of the show, as they entered on stage, one of Indian Idol 2020’s top 14 finalists, Anjali Gaikwad, performed the title track of Punyashlok Ahilyabai, dedicating her rendition to the cast of the show. Hailing from Ahmednagar, Anjali also shared that she has a special connection with the song she sang and poured her heart into it. The judges and the cast were extremely impressed and applauded Anjali for her outstanding performance and said, “We are thrilled to see such a young dynamic performer on Indian Idol 2020, and thank you for such a lovely performance. Wishing you all the best for your musical adventure!” Anjali was delighted to hear their compliments and replied saying, “I am honored to sing a song for the legendary Ahilyabai Holkar and what better than performing a song for the cast! Truly, Indian Idol has been a dream come true for me!”
