A page from the personal diary of Leena Jumani This is a very old story but my teachers and my friends still remember me for this. I was in class 8 at an Ahmedabad school. I was a quiet girl and would always keep it to myself. I had very few friends and people hardly knew I could be brave and bold. One afternoon during recess a boy proposed to me. I was shocked as it was my first proposal and I did not know how to react. Just then the bell rang and we were asked to go to our respective classes. The boy insisted I answer him and I just said I was not interested in having any love affairs. Hearing that, he got very angry and started abusing me in front of everyone. Initially I ignored thinking he was too hurt, but then he became intolerable and I asked him to shut up. When he didn't I punched him hard with all my energy on his nose. He started bleeding profusely and then I dragged him to the principal's office. The boy was very scared and begged me to leave him saying he will never repeat it in future. My friends too requested me to leave him and I finally let him off saying it was his first and last chance. As soon as I entered my class I was welcomed with smiles and claps and my teachers appreciated for my bravery. I never take things lying down and give it back then and there. My teachers and friends were shocked to see my wild and aggressive side and after that, not a single boy dared to mess with me. I became famous as Hitler in my school and my friends still tease me for that incident.
