MUMBAI: The third original series from Zoom Studios, Imperfect is a romantic comedy that unfolds the journey of 27-year-old Isha Sanghvi (enacted by Samridhi Dewan), who in her relentless pursuit of perfection, faces a whirlwind of uncertainties that life throws her way and rediscovers herself when her fairy tale world is shattered as she suddenly loses her job and her prince charming.

In the series, Isha receives some insightful help from Sushmita Mukherjee’s character. She motivates Isha to gather the broken pieces of her heart. We asked Samridhi about a similar person in her real life, and she said, ‘It has to be my mother. She is extremely supportive and motivating. She always has my back.’

Talking about the experience shooting for the series, Samridhi said, ‘It was a wonderful experience to work with the crew including a veteran actor like Sushmita Mukherjee. She is very warm and easy to work with. I had heard great things about her from my mother and thus was pretty excited to shoot with her.’

Imperfect was shot in a span of just 20–21 days, making the experience very edgy. ‘It was a crazy schedule, as we shot the series very quickly. It was pretty draining too, and thus, right after the shoot got over, I decided to take a quick break to rejuvenate,’ Samridhi said.
