It has been almost two months since Prachi Shah replaced Nandini Singh and bagged the pivotal role in Star Plus's Kesar. And so far things have been looking better for the show. So we decided to pay a visit on the sets and viola, there was celebration in the air! It was leading lady Prachi's birthday and the whole cast and crew got together to make the actor feel special. Accompanied by husband Vishwwaas Paandya, Prachi took time between the shots to do the cake cutting ceremony. Clad in a pink sari the actor reminisced about her last birthday cum honeymoon in Malaysia. "Since my schedules are hectic nowadays, I had to limit the ceremony just to the sets. But, today I plan to leave early to celebrate at home too. Moreover the storyline of the show is about to witness a spree of revelations that would bring in new tracks in the script. So it becomes incumbent to be on the sets when such parallel tracks are shaping up. And I am doing the same" A trained classical dancer, Prachi kindles the hope of restoring the classical art form back to its glory. "I have been associated with Kathakali for the last 23 years and I wonder why we ignore it in the popular formats of entertainment. It has so much to offer in terms of aesthetics and yet it is such a neglected art form today. My only wish is to be seen as an established classical dancer and I am striving for the same. At the moment I am commited to Kesar and have no plans to do other projects. But, yes my dance performances keep happening whenever I find time." Adds Vishwwaas, her better half who has done serials like Sparsh, Imtihaan and Ateet, "I have known Prachi for a long time now. What I have witnessed in her is the great transformation she has undergone as an actor. I think few people are capable to grow so much in such a little time. Her approach to work is like worship and a great motivator indeed." The channel and the production house are jubilant that the show is catching up on viewership. With the story unfolding into new events the possibility of this afternoon daily doing better is surely something to look out for.
