MUMBAI: Rashami Desai is one of the most popular television actresses. She has been part of several shows and won audiences’ hearts. She was last seen in the famous reality show Bigg Boss 13.

Her popularity escalated after her participation in the reality show.  Things have only gotten better for the actress post her stint in the show, but was it always the same? Well, before making her mark, Rashami Desai had gone through several hardships. The sizzling siren Rashmi Desai has gone through a rough patch in life as her marriage to Nandish Sandhu hit rock bottom and they separated within a few years.

In the past, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant has spoken at length about her separation. Once again, she has got candid about her life's struggle and how she faced society judgement during her divorce. She spoke about the phase and called it 'stressful'. Rashami Desai mentioned that during the time of the divorce, she pretended to be someone she was not as she did not want people to know about the emotions that she was going through.

Rashami, in an interview with a media portal revealed how she was raised by a single parent and that there was a time when they did not have enough money to eat food.

Apart from that, she also raises her voice against the classism that exists between the TV and the film industry. She also revealed that she was "replaced" from a show just because they failed to understand that she was fighting her inner demons.
