MUMBAI: One of the major topics of discussion amongst netizens has been the YouTube vs TikTok controversy. All of it started with a few YouTubers making fun of TikTok stars. A popular YouTuber Carry Minati made a similar video which invited a reaction from a TikTok user Amir Siddique. Siddique pointed out at the comparisons being unfair.
In a counter reaction to Siddiqui, Carry Minati made yet another video titled ‘YouTube vs TikTok: The End’ wherein he brutally roasted Amir about the content that they put on the app. In the video, Carry went all out against Amir post which he started a hashtag #AmirAgainstCyberBullying and made a video stating that a YouTuber Elvish Yadav defamed, body shammed and abused female TikTok user because of which she started getting many vulgar messages and even rape threats and that’s when Amir made an appeal to the viewers to report the videos defaming them.
He also apologized for his mistakes in the video. Campaign by Amir received magnum response resulting in Elvish and Carry’s video getting pulled down by YouTube.
