After a day gripped with fatigue and frustration, all you need to do to relax yourself is watch the comic histrionics of the rib-ticklers on television. Yes, as part of our year ender stories, here’s presenting the top and best comic faces of the past year. Read on… Bharti Singh: Who does not know this cute and cuddly comedian who almost did everything from dancing to comedy in the year 2012. And, though this actress did it all she was majorly recognised for her comic timing. Be it on the sets of Comedy Circus or Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa she just couldn’t stop making people laugh. She can find comedy in anything and everything. Here ticklish punches on Manish Paul, host of Jhalak, were liked by one and all. We are sure she will rock it in the year 2013 too. Jeetu Shivhare: Gadha Prasad of SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar is now a household name. Just like his name, he is dumb in the show. He is far off from the word common sense. He does things exactly the way he is asked to, even if one is just being sarcastic about it. So much that if you ask him to jump in the well he will even do that. But Jeetu is one superb actor who played his character to the T. His sweet and innocent ‘eye-blinking’ act or ‘slow motion walks’, everything tickled viewers to the core. Kavita Kaushik: Sexy and fiery police inspector Chandramukhi Chautala of SAB TV’s FIR is comic in a very unconventional sense. She does not make an effort to make you laugh, but her superb dialogue delivery and thumping acting, will make you hold your belly due to bouts of laughter attack. Her approach towards solving the cases that come to her office make you roll on the floor. Thus, Kavita is definitely a rib-tickler for us. Dilip Joshi / Disha Vakhani: This husband and wife jodi better known as Jethalal and Daya of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are hilarious souls. Jetha the troubled husband who is attracted to another woman Babita and his funny wife Daya who cares for everybody around her and dances at any given opportunity create a laugh riot on screen. The other people in their life too add on to the comic element but these two are definitely the ones who make you laugh the most. Who will forget Jetha’s ‘hai bhagwan’ and Daya’s ‘eh maa mataji’. Smita Singh: Sunaina Bhabhi of Zee TV’s Hitler Didi was a funny character in a show that has a serious plot. She came as a fresh breath of comic relief in an otherwise heavy dose ambience. She was seen as one troubled soul who would get beaten up by her husband yet end up doing some funny activity or the other. Smita played this character extremely well as there was a huge variation in the emotions that she had to portray. Krushna Abhishek: Krushna is one talented comedian. He has donned almost every avatar on Sony TV’s Comedy Circus. His acting skills and comic timing is liked by one and all. Manish Paul: He is one man army. He can dance, sing, act, make you laugh and probably even moon walk (we are not sure of this though). This talented actor hosted almost every award show last year and sent the audience in splits. He has a unique comic touch which makes him a class apart. Manish is one talent that the TV industry badly needed and we are glad he has arrived big time. Sucheta Khanna/ Abbas Khan: Indumati and Bijli Pandey is a funny husband-wife pair in SAB TV’s Lapataganj. They love each other immensely but at the same time they also fight a lot. There are funny incidents in the show where his wife wants to go for a movie and he fails to make it on time which creates a rift between the two. But, this pair does not limit their fights till their home. Indumati makes it a point to drag every individual of her village into her petty fights, leaving Mukundi embarrassed. Viewers love theis comic, cute and lovely riot. Atul Parchure: Bhavesh Krishnakant Vasavda of SAB TV’s RK Laxman Ki Duniya is a family man and is a very positive middle class man. But, things in his life aren’t that positive. And in an attempt to make things good he ends up creating a laugh riot. Utkarsha Naik: Manorama better known as Arnav’s (Barun Sobti) aunt was the typical funny character in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. Every sentence that she spoke had a touch of broken English to it. Plus her ‘hello hi bye bye’ was an icing on the cake. Well…this was our list of the funny people from tellydom who rocked the stage in 2012. Send in your thoughts, names and suggestions in the comment section below…
