Now, now, now… what are we hearing? Trouble is brewing for Rashmi Desai aka Tapasya of Colors’ Uttaran. If you recollect, media reports claimed that Rashmi has decided to walk out of the show as she intends to focus more on her personal life (she is getting married to Nandish Sandhu in February 2012). Furthermore, she was also disturbed due to the negativity of her character. But our reliable sources have a different story to tell. Rashmi told the production house (FilmFarm Production) that she wanted a leave of three months and if not granted, she should be allowed to exit from the show. However, the production house gave her only a month’s leave. The decision did not go down well with the actress and she went to press and declared that she has quit Uttaran. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Now, apparently, according to unconfirmed reports, Rashmi has already started shooting discreetly for another new show on Sahara One. Officials at Sahara have told her that if any trouble crops up, she will have to handle it single handedly. We did not get confirmation on the development but we cross-checked the information with many of our sources and they all reiterated in unison. Furthermore, we also spoke to Pintoo Guha of FilmFarm and he went on to say, “Rashmi has not quit. She is on a month’s leave. I don’t know what she has told the press, but she is yet to inform me officially about her decision to walk out of Uttaran.” He refused to divulge any more information but unconfirmed reports suggest that the production house is planning to take up the issue with the producers' association, CINTAA to help rein Rashmi in. However, CINTAA general secretary Dharmesh Tiwary feigned ignorance on the issue, saying that the association is "yet to receive any official complaint.” Hmm…hope it doesn’t smell trouble for Rashmi. Apparently, the production house has also kept in mind that Rashmi might not be available and has filmed her exit from the series. The story has her coming under extreme pressure with Veer (Nandish Sandhu) and Ichcha (Tina Dutta) holding her responsible for Vansh’s (Rohit Khurana) comeback, Sid (Sharhaan Singh) blackmailing her over her past, and her relationship with husband Rathore getting strained. “Under a lot of stress, Tapasya will write a letter to Rathore and walk out of the house,” added a source. Gaurav Chopra aka Rathore too confirmed shooting for Tapasya’s exit sequence. Though the scene will mark her exit, the production house has assured us that she will be back. In spite of repeated attempts to get in touch with Rashmi, she remained unavailable. But we shall soon get back with her version of the story. Stay with us…
