He was discovered on YouTube as a rapper by a music label and ever since then, Fate has been smiling on him for good.

After doling out hits like Abhi to party, Saturday Saturday and many more, the stylish rapper is all set to make his TV debut as a judge of Star Plus’ reality series Dil Hai Hindustani.

The Frames Productions singing reality show will see Badshah joining Karan Johar, Shekhar Ravjiani and Shalmalee Kholgade as an adjudicator.

Tellychakkar.com caught up with the Punjab ka munda as he shared his excitement of joining the team. “I am completely against reality shows as I feel there is no fun and talent but only drama. But when this show came my way I was floored. I am excited to see how the talent that we have finalised would move ahead. It is enticing, exciting and completely fun.”

Badshah added that he feels TV’s reach is vast. “The impact of TV is really huge and I felt it was the best time to enter the space. As a YouTube artist, I feel it’s very important to connect with audience in a personal space. Star Plus is also a powerful medium and I think the show and its contestants will reach millions.”

The crooner further said that as an artist one needs to experiment and reinvent. “The world is changing and it is important that singers know the current trend. Reinventing is really important. As we need to keep our art alive and yet try different things,” he added.

Defining his journey as fulfilling, Badshah stated that he enjoys a lazy chilled out life. His career aspirations for now is to rap for Joh Abraham as his wife is a fan and also recreate Humma humma and Tamma tamma for some film.

Wish you great luck, Badhshah!
