Understanding the mindset of reel character is essential: Diya Mukherjee

Diya Mukherjee

If you are an actor, you get to live many lives through your reel characters.

But is it that easy?

Let’s hear about it from Diya Mukherjee, who is portraying a role which is entirely different from her on Colors Bangla’s “Tumi Ele Tai” (Raindrop Productions).

Speaking about her reel character, she said, “I am portraying the role of Babli who is a strong independent girl.”

Is there any similarity between your real and reel character?

“They are different from each other. Babli is stubborn while Diya understands the situation. If Babli wants something she will make sure to achieve it by hook or crook but Diya’s approach is different. She might want something but won’t be disheartened if she does not achieve that. Diya is very flexible” explained the actress.

“And also, Babli is a singer but Diya can’t sing,” she added.

But isn’t it difficult to get into the skin of an entirely different personality?

“This is definitely a challenge to me but I think for any actor it is very essential to understand the mindset of the reel character that he/she is going to enact,” smiled the pretty actress.

True. An actor’s life is full of challenges.

Great going beautiful lady! Cheers!!!
