Tellychakkar.com published a news last week that Veena Malik would perform in Sahara One’s Niyati (Creative Eye) as part of the promotional campaign for her upcoming flick Zindagi 50-50. Super…we all love Veena and her latka jhatkas. But sometimes, given the strange nature of the world, things don’t turn out as intended. And something similar happened with Veena’s Niyati plans. We have learnt that the curvaceous babe backed out of her commitment at the very last minute. Reason? The cast and crew of the show were waiting to welcome Veena on the sets on 19 May 2013 (Sunday) for which they had even invited the media. But the actress never turned up. In fact, after a long wait, when the production called up Veena’s manager, they learnt that she won’t turn up at all as she was unwell. The news came as a shocker for the entire team as they had planned the actresses’ dance sequence during the lead’s Ishwar (Tabrez Khan) and Niyati’s (Aastha Chaudhary) engagement ceremony. But after they learned about her sudden backing out, they shot the engagement ceremony in a low profile manner. Said a source, “She might have been unwell, but then there is something called communication. This is not professional at all.” When we contacted Veena’s PRs, they remained clueless about the development (pretty obvious). Producer Dheeraj Kumar too remained unavailable for comment.
