Veteran theatre actor Pratap Sachdeo is all set to enter Colors' Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Productions). The man will be a dominating Sarpanch of a village.
The track in the show will now head to a village wherein Vikrant (Aadesh Chaudhary) would bring Simar (Dipika Samson) whom he has kidnapped. With this, Vikrant's negative image will be blown out of proportions. He will be the typical Raavan in this Ramayan playout after he has kidnapped the Sita of the show, Simar.
The Sarpanch will be a staunch follower of Vikrant and will pay heed to every order of his. In fact, the entire village would treat Vikrant as their God and would blindly obey his orders.
When contacted, Pratap who has earlier done many TV shows including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay and few episodics recently said, "Yes, I have started shooting for Sasural Simar Ka from today. I play a sarpanch in the show."

We also hear that just as in Ramayan, it will be Hanuman who would come to Raavan's paradise to meet Sita first. Hanuman will take the special message that would instigate Ram to wage war against Raavan. In this case, Simar's sister Roli (Avika Gor) will be the show's Hanuman and she will be the first to enter the village.
