Vicky Donor and Hate Story actors in The Late Night Show to promote their movies

Bollywood has been increasingly using TV as a medium to promote their flicks. The feat will be followed when VJ turned actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam make an appearance in tonight’s (21 April 2012) episode of The Late Night Show (Colors), as part of the promotional campaign. Not only that, even Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story actors, Paoli Dam and Gulshan Devaiya will be seen wooing the audiences by spending some “funny” time with the host of the show, Sumeet Raghavan tomorrow (22 April 2012). On the appearance, Yami Gautam says, “The Late Night Show is a perfect platform to promote Vicky Donor, especially since the viewers of the show have a palate for new age entertainment, much like the subject of our film.” While the film already generating rave reviews and being rated a hit, the gag featuring the lead pair from Vicky Donor found a perfect platform in The Late Night Show renowned for its bold, satirical and tongue-in-cheek humour. This blended perfectly well with the storyline of the movie, a romantic comedy between a Punjabi boy and a Bengali girl set against the background of sperm donation. Ayushmann Khurrana shares, “The gag which Yami and me were a part of was amazingly scripted. In fact, she just could not stop laughing. You need to watch it to believe it.” Moving on to Hate Story, Gulshan Devaiya says, “An erotic thriller like Hate Story does not have much scope for promotional platforms on Indian television. Bold & revolutionary shows like The Late Night Show are very few. I think the fans of the show would also like Hate Story.” Finally, here’s a word from Sumeet Raghavan, “Our show seems to have become a one-stop-shop to showcase hatke films. It’s always fun to have guests on the show and to perform gags with them. It’s good to see them having a ball and letting their hair down while promoting their movies. I wish Vicky Donor and Hate Story all the best.”
