MUMBAI: Reportedly, Parth Samthaan is all set to bid adieu to his immensely loved onscreen character, Anurag Basu from Ekta Kapoor's top-rated shows, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. As soon as the report started grabbing headlines, we saw a meltdown on social media where fans expressed their displeasure. Amidst all this, we got to learn a few reasons behind him quitting the show. It was reported that the decision was made after the storyline of the show shifted to Prerna and Mr Bajaj (played by Karan Patel) and his plot has been sidelined. The other reason for him backing out is because Parth has got a bigger project. While some even stated that he is leaving the show due to his health reasons.

Having said that, the makers of KZK are looking for other actors who can fit the bill and reportedly, they have shortlisted Barun Sobti, Vivek Dahiya and Pearl V Puri. SpotboyE.com came to know that the Naagin 4 star, Pearl has not been approached for the role. Furthermore, the latest reports in Zoom Digital suggest that Divyanka Tripathi's husband Vivek revealed that he is not replacing Parth in the show and said that the news is false as he simply responded by saying, "No, that’s not true." Well, after knowing Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor and Pearl's response, we wonder what Barun Sobti has to say who is also in the race. 

Meanwhile, it is also reported that after Parth Samthaan, two other stars from KZK2 will be leaving the show and they are Erica Fernandes who is the protagonist, Prerna Sharma and Sahil Anand who plays the role of Anupam Sengupta, Nivedita aka Pooja Banerjee's husband in the show.
