MUMBAI: Television heartthrob Vivek Dahiya, known for his stellar performances in hit series like Ye Hai Mohabbatein, has once again captured hearts this time with a romantic music video that has fans swooning.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Vivek opened up about what drew him to the project, his experience filming it, and whether he ever misses his roles in supernatural dramas like Kavach and Qayamat Ki Raat.

Vivek, congratulations on your latest music video! What made you say yes to this project?
Thank you so much! Honestly, the moment I was introduced to the song and heard it for the first time, I absolutely fell in love with it. It’s a beautiful, romantic track — very soulful. And when I found out who my co-star was, that just sealed the deal for me. The chemistry, the vibe, the entire experience on set was truly enjoyable. There was no reason to say no!
You've previously wowed audiences in shows like Kavach and Qayamat Ki Raat. Do you ever miss being part of that genre?
To be completely honest, I don’t particularly miss it. I believe each project plays its part in shaping us, but as actors, we must keep evolving. I learnt a great deal from those roles; they were important stepping stones in my journey. That said, I’ve moved on with a sense of gratitude and I’m always looking forward to what’s next.
Vivek, who rose to fame with his role in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, has come a long way in the industry. He, along with his wife and fellow actor Divyanka Tripathi, won hearts (and the trophy!) in Nach Baliye Season 8, showcasing not just chemistry but impeccable dancing skills as well.
Most recently, fans saw him lighting up the stage in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where he once again impressed judges and audiences alike with his dynamic performances.
Adding to his list of achievements, Vivek has also explored roles in the OTT space and is now gearing up to make his Bollywood debut —a move eagerly anticipated by fans.
There’s no doubt that Vivek Dahiya continues to be one of the most adored faces on Indian television, and his versatility as an actor only keeps expanding.
