Come September and channel [V] is all set with to initiate a VJ hunt. This is their first ever hunt so far and admissions for VJ Freshers, class of 2006 will begin, The Channel [V] family at the launch of VJ Freshers wherein at the end of the crash course one lucky fresher will be appointed as the next big thing on Channel [V]. The channel will travel across various metros in India (namely Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai) and ex-VJs Ranvir Shourie and Vinay Pathak will put the applicants through a series of interviews and tests. Eight finalists will get to spend a week in Goa where they will undergo a selection procedure in quest of the final winner. "We have produced lunatics and icons who've been hip, cool and have had an irreverent attitude and now we're looking for some freshers who've got what it takes to make the world sit up and take notice. Also we are going to find them, train them, hone their talent and attitude and let them lose on the audiences for magic," says Amar K Deb, Head Honcho, Channel [V]. VJ Sarah Jane is all excited to have some new VJs to be added to the [V] family, "The more the merrier! And as far as their qualities are concerned, they have to be spunky, energetic, have the right attitude, ability to light up the screen, besides having the quality of being a genuine person who can be himself/herself," says Jane.
