Wasn’t skeptical about playing Dr. Rishab in Sanjivani: Rahul Choudhry

MUMBAI: Star Plus’ latest offering Sanjivani has been gaining immense popularity among the audience.

The story of the show is being appreciated.

Moreover, the stellar cast has made sure that the audience is glued to it.

Apart from the lead pair Surbhi Chandana and Namit Khanna, the rest of the young lot of the cast members are also enjoying limelight and feedback from fans.

Rahul Choudhry, who plays the character of Dr. Rishab in the show, stands out with his evil tactics. The actor is undoubtedly doing a fabulous job.

Rahul had early worked with Sanjeevani producer Siddharth Malhotra in web-series Kaafir and was later offered this meaty role in Sanjivani.

In a candid chat with TellyChakkar, Rahul revealed what made him sign the show. He said, 'Sidharth Sir told me about Sanjivani and gave me a brief of Dr. Rishab’s character. I was quite excited to know more about this character and his backstory. Since it’s a complex character, I was very interested in taking up the challenge.'

Ask him if he was skeptical about doing a grey role, and he said, 'I was not at all skeptical about playing this part as it had a lot of scope. I knew it will be a fun thing to do. I was quite excited to be Dr. Rishab.'

Since Dr. Rishab is quite bossy and rude towards Dr.Ishani, does he receive hate mails? 'Not really. I’ve received more positive feedback until now. But of course, a few Surbhi Chandana fans often tell me to be nice with her on the show and all, but it's all in good spirit. In fact, I have received responses of fans wanting to see more of Dr. Rishab and Dr. Ishani’s scenes. So yeah, all good until now.' (smiles)

We asked Rahul on his experience on sharing screen space with actors like Rohit Roy and Mohnish Bahl, and he said, 'My experience of shooting with Rohit Roy has been absolutely amazing. He has a lot of experience and is extremely good at his craft. So I actually look forward to doing my scenes with him and Mohnish Sir. While doing scenes with Mohnish Sir, I realized that he is such an effortless actor. That’s something I’ve learned from him, and I’m looking forward to improvising my skills by watching these experienced actors perform.'

Here's wishing the handsome lad all the best for his career.
