When asked about reports around him doing Dhadhkan Zindagii Kii, Mohit shared, “Initially, I was in talks with Nilanjana (Purkayasstha) ma'am, she wanted me to be a part of the show but things didn't work out at those times. Again, she wanted me to be a part of the show but maybe some other project. She's family and I really respect her work. It's my wish that I do something again with her because she's one of the best persons to work with. She understands the craft really well. Look at her shows, they are all different. She has never followed the trend. She has always broken the trend and that shows she isn't a businesswoman, she is a creative person. I really wanted to do Dhadkan but it's a limited series with 65 episodes and I didn't want to come back with a show where I am ending the show.

If at all I want to come back to TV, I want to come back with a new show because I like that energy in the beginning, keeping everyone together. Already there are actors and I don't want to enter the show midway, please cast somebody else. She's my favourite person, she's my favourite creative and I so wish to work with her someday again. So, let's hope, probably in the New Year, we might do something together.

When asked about embracing fatherhood, Mohit spilled the beans, “It's the best phase of my life. The moments that I am experiencing, I really pray that everyone should experience. It's the most wonderful, learning, enriching phase. It really helps you grow as a person to be with kids. To be with/around Ekbir and just to watch him, play with him, I forget everything around me. The moment I am playing with him, sitting with him by the beach, living room, or anywhere, I am in the moment and there is no psychological time. There is no future, past and I can just feel that I have forgotten everything and I've become zero. I am just there, talking and playing with the soul.

It's a wonderful thing to enrich you as a person. I am meeting people for work purposes. I don't know how will I manage to stay without him at the shoot because I am so attached to him, and for the past five months I have only been with him. I did not take up any projects for certain reasons but I don't know how I'll go and shoot. I keep on telling Addite also it'll be really difficult for me to go out and shoot. Right now also, when I go for a meeting or anywhere I go, I start missing him and I come back home immediately. He starts missing me. It's just amazing and one of the best things that have happened to me and I am really grateful for it.”
