MUMBAI: Mohit Malik is immensely loved for his show Kulfi Kumar Bajewala and we've been waiting to see him again on television once again.

Only recently was it announced that the actos is now making a comeback with Lockdown Ki Love Story opposite Sana Sayeed. We spoke to Mohit in an exclusive conversation and here's all what he had to say:

What is the show all about?

Lockdown Ki Lovestory is a refreshing, fun and lighthearted romantic drama based on a couple's marriage turmoil in the lockdown. The show is something very different compared to what I have worked on earlier, and the concept is a very entertaining one, which is surely set to bring a smile onto everyone's faces! 

After Kulfi Kumar Bajewala you will now be seen in new light. How excited are you?

This role and show is like therapy to me! While Kulfi was an extremely intense drama, Lockdown Ki Lovestory is more on the comic, lighthearted and romantic side, which I am very happy and excited to be a part of! 

Tell us something about your character in the show?

My character Dhruv is a Desi banker from Allahabad who is an absolute romantic at hear. A very honest, earnest, grounded and calm personality who goes out of his way to fulfill his family needs and the needs of the one he loves! 

How is your experience associating with Star Plus again?

It's great to be back on Star Plus again! When I got to know that the show is airing on Star, I just couldn't say no. Star is like family so it feels like I am back home once again. 

How was your experience shooting with Sana Sayeed?

Sana is a lovely girl! Filled with lots of talent and positive vibes, it's been great working with her on the show. We connected well from the first day itself and have good fun together on set. 

What is the x factor that drove you to give a nod for Lockdown Ki Love Story?

The X factor about Lockdown Ki Lovestory are the various emotions and feelings that it will make people feel! It will make you laugh, smile, cry, feel sad and then feel happy again, which is the best part about the concept of the show! It's a lighthearted comic romantic drama which is full of entertainment and fun. 

What do you think the response for this show would be?

This should be upto to the audiences to answer, rather than me. 

Who did you develop a good bond with on the sets of Lockdown Ki Love Story

All of the cast and crew on the show is great! I am bonding and settling in well inside with just about everybody. Though it was a longstanding to work with Jayati Ji, and I guess Bhagwan ne meri baat sun li hai and so I feel lucky to be finally getting a chance to work with her through the show. 

How was your overall experience shooting for the show?

While I am very happy to be back on set after a good break, it does feel weird to be shooting under this new normal. Our set has a limited numher of people, all maintaining social distancing from each other and there is very less interaction among us all. I am someone who has always been used to having lots of people and buzz and activity around on set, which I am hoping we can get back to really soon! 

Did the lockdown affect the shooting? Please elaborate.

We have been maintaining all the necassary protocols and safety measures while shooting on set, so there has been no problems as such due to us all being extremely careful throughout.
