MUMBAI: TV actor Sidharth Shukla emerged as the nationwide sensation after he participated in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 13. Recently the Balika Vadhu actor shared that earlier people would judge him by the characters he played, but because of Bigg Boss 13, they got to know the real him.

"It was a moment of my life where people got to know me because people always thought that they knew me, by judging me by the characters that I played. And I have always said in most of my interviews that I am slightly different from the characters. But then in Bigg Boss, they happened to see the real me and of course some people liked and some people didn't, which is absolutely alright. It wasn't path-breaking or different, the only thing was that people got to know the real me and I am happy about that," said Sidharth.

Sidharth, who has been doing reality shows back-to-back, also opened up about his first day on the sets of a fiction show for OTT, "I was quite nervous because it's been three years since I’ve done fiction and recently I have just been myself. So yes there was nervousness and I was hoping I haven’t forgotten acting but once the camera turned on, I felt at home."

The handsome hunk, who recently made his OTT debut, also shared if he has become choosy about projects, post Bigg Boss 13's fame, "I have been pretty choosy about my projects and a pressure like that where you have got quality control, I think that is always welcome and is always wonderful to have," said the 40-year-old actor.

Talking about the medium he enjoys the most working on, he said, "For me the medium doesn't really matter. As an actor I just love my job of acting, so wherever there is something great that comes my way, I like to go for it. I feel OTT is the next big thing now. Also, I can see a lot of people getting on to it now especially the times we are in. Also, with OTT there is so much more that you can do in this space and it takes us all in."
