MUMBAI: The entertainment industry and controversies always go hand in hand. While the good side of celebrities is always reported by the media, the given set also has to bear the brunt of their controversies coming into the limelight.

Ssara Khan

Ssara made headlines with her bathtub controversy after her sister mistakenly uploaded her nude bathtub video, which was taken down immediately. According to media reports, Ssara explained that the video was made for fun by her sister, who was in an inebriated state, and was not intentionally shared on social media.

#MeeToo

The #MeToo movement started as a rage outside the country, and as it made its way to India, top bigwigs from the Bollywood and television fraternity were accused of their involvement in sexual harassment. Out of the many, what came as a major shock to the television fraternity is ‘sanskari babuji’ Alok Nath being accused of forcing himself upon his co-stars at various occasions.

Several actors came out in open against Alok Nath's unruly behaviour after producer and writer Vinita Nanda accused him. Alok Nath filed a defamation case too against her. The Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) then decided to send him a show cause notice.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee

Television's Gopi Bahu Devoleena Bhattacharjee was detained in connection with the death of Mumbai-based diamond merchant Rajeshwar Udani. Rajeshwar had gone missing on November 29th, and his body was recovered a little after.

According to media reports, Devoleena was interrogated for a brief period of time. Her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt released a statement refuting the rumours of Devoleena being detained or arrested.

Teejay’s OPEN LETTER to Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss has had a good run and a fair quotient of controversies, one of which is an open letter to the makers of the show by popular actor Karanvir Bohra’s wife Teejay. Salman did not quite like Teejay’s open letter where she expressed her displeasure on her husband being mocked by the host.

Karan and Krystle no longer friends
