MUMBAI: A talented actress Pragati Mehra is known for shows like Sunaina, Manshaa, Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Bal Gopal Kare Dhamaal, Bombay Talking and Uttaran.
Currently, she is gaining a lot of recognition for her role as Mahima in Star Plus’ longest running series, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Yesterday, she celebrated her birthday with the entire cast of the show and it was quite a surprise for her.

Before getting into acting, Pragati was a radio disc jockey on AIR and hosted a talk show named, ‘Yeh Hai Bollywood’.
She was raised in Delhi and has a degree in fashion design. She loves driving, cooking and reading as hobbies. Pragati has a younger brother too.
Talking about her career, Pragati debuted with Zee TV’s Chotti Bahu starring Avinash Sachdev and Rubina Dilaik. The actress has not just acted in Hindi serials but has also contributed in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam TV series and films. Other than acting, she also loves travelling.
When it comes to her career, ‘Uttaran’ made a big difference for her, which was later followed by ‘Chhoti Bahu 2’.
Her favourite actors and actresses are Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit respectively.
