Bharati Achrekar, Suraj Thapar and Supriya Shukla come together to make you laugh in a show called funnyfamily.com on Sab Tv starting from 24th December. Anuj Kapoor, Business Head of Sab Tv says, "Haste-Haste Jeena Seekho is our tag line, Agar hasna hai toh humare paas aayo varna rone-dhone ke liye toh baki serials hai hi (if you want to laugh see our channel otherwise there are many channels that make you cry)". About the serial Anuj says, "This is an out and out comedy serial. Our channel is positioned as a youth channel, so this serial is about four kids from the age group of 10-20 years. The serial focuses on their growing up problems and how the problems are solved by the family members in a light- hearted manner. They basically tell you to learn to laugh at your problems and try solving them happily." But why this name? "Actually one of the kids in the show is a computer freak and also the family-members think that they are very modern and belong to the dot com era so we have selected this name," replies Anuj. Veteran actress Bharati Achrekar is also excited about the show. She says, "It is a complete family drama. There is clean comedy and so people from all age groups can watch this serial. The USP of funnyfamily.com is that it is a weekly show so viewers will have something different to watch with every episode. Daily serials tend to become very monotonous." Any particular reason for choosing funnyfamily.com? Bharati replies, "It is a weekly and comes from B.R. Films with Raju Parsekar as the director. Besides, I have never ever done old-age comedy roles. See as an actor I would prefer to do a variety of roles and I pick up the serial if the role excites me." What is her character and role in the show? "I am the dadi of the house whose name is Durga. I always treat my son Suraj Thapar like a child. As far as the cast is concerned I am enjoying working with them. They all are very nice and Suraj is a very good actor," responds Bharati. What is the reason she chose to do a comedy? "See I am doing Jiya Jale and Virrudh and these are not comedy serials. Funnyfamily.com appealed to me for its content." We sure are waiting for a good laugh.
