MUMBAI: Over its glorious run of 25 years, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – India’s longest running reality franchise has had some of the most eminent music maestros grace its panel of judges and the channel as well as the platform deeply cherish every bond built and cultivated over the years with some of these fine music stalwarts. Each of these judges have had significant roles to play in shaping the contours of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s journey and making it the extraordinary franchise it is. It goes without saying then that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will deeply miss singer-composer Wajid Khan who has been a judge and mentor to the show’s talent across seasons.    Wajid Khan, who succumbed to a cardiac arrest on 31st May has been a part of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the seasons of 2010, 2016, 2012 and 2018. In fact, at 42, he was one of the most popular faces of the show and it comes as a big loss not only for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa but also to the whole Indian music industry.

In the wake of this untimely loss, Zee TV and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa have come up with a heartwarming tribute to the star musician. Not only is the channel airing special episodes of all the seasons featuring him throughout this week, but is also all set to telecast a one hour special episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on the channel. Titled ‘Main Hun Dabangg’, which were one of his last words on the show, the special episode will not only pay a tribute to the composer, but remember him the way he would have wanted it to be - a musician with an infectious smile.

The Wajid Khan-themed episode will fondly remember India’s serial chartbuster composer. The Main Hun Dabangg episode will showcase Wajid Khan’s journey on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa while highlighting all his best moments and performances. It will also feature celebrity anecdotes including the likes of Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sajid Khan, Himesh Reshamiya , Shaan and Sonu Nigam celebrating the legendary musician.
