The media is already abuzz with news that Zee TV’s underperforming show Hitler Didi is up for a giant sequential leap to bring in fresh audiences. Now we have confirmed news that the above leap will be of 18 years. According to a source, this change, which will hit screens post IPL (mid May), has set off big flurry of action in the show’s cast. Certain actors who are not comfortable playing older characters are thinking of moving out. Smita Singh (Sunaina) says, “I have given my notice as I can’t convincingly play a 50/ 60 year old lady.” There is also a buzz that Sandeep Baswana (Munna) might also move out, but the news is not confirmed yet. Here our khabru adds that the lead actress Rati Pandey is also not comfortable playing mother (Indira) but would not have any problem playing the grown up Indu. When we got in touch with Rati she said, “Nothing has been decided yet. I cannot comment on such issue so early.” Aasiya Kazi who has just entered the show said that “she has no clue about the period of the leap.” “If and when it happens I will look at my character graph and then take a call,” further added Aasiya. When got in touch with Sumit Vats (Rishi), he said that “he has no clue about the leap,” and did not reply to our SMS asking whether he would want to play an older man or not. Producer Ila Bedi Dutta (Trilogy Media Pvt Ltd) remained unavailable for comments. Tellychakkar.com got in touch with a Zee TV official who chose to remain tightlipped Before closing, we reminded our source that some time back the news was flying that Hitler Didi might wind up so why are the creatives opting for a leap now, the reply came, “TV moves dynamically and now may be Zee also needs to factor in the ending of Punar Vivah. But you never know when the sword might fall on Hitler.” Tellychakkar.com will keep an eye on the development!!!
