Zee TV’s long-running show Pavitra Rishta is all set to enter the 1000 club. With the D-day (15 March 2013) nearing, the channel and producer Ekta Kapoor (of Balaji Telefilms) have planned some exciting stuff for the audience. So what is the visual treat that viewers can look forward to? We at Tellychakkar.com have some exclusive information right here. We hear that there is a one hour special episode being planned for 16 March 2013 (Saturday) which will have the right mix of fiction as well as non-fiction. As per the story line, Dr. Onir (Shakti Arora) has been blamed by Mallick (Krunal Pandit) for ‘racketeering’ scandal in the hospital. In due course of time, he will be proved innocent in the eyes of the law. This is when the entire family get together to celebrate Maha Shivrathri in style. The 1000 episodes celebration in the show will be coupled with the Maha Shivrathri celebrations, is what we hear. This episode will be very special as all the actors (depending on their availability) who have been part of Pavitra Rishta’s long journey will be there to celebrate the moment. In addition to this, we also hear that Balaji Telefilms and the channel are planning to add an interesting ‘reality byte’ segment wherein the show’s popular women Archana (Ankita Lokhande), Savita Tai (Usha Nadkarni) and Sulochana (Savita Prabhune) will go to the real chawls to interact with the common man and talk about their real-life incidents. In a way, they will be depicting how Pavitra Rishta deals with real-life situations in its story line, and how the common man identifies with the subject of the show. To add to the fun and entertainment, the entire family of Pavitra Rishta will be shown performing at the Shivrathri pandal. And this will be one big joyous evening for the viewers too!! We have also learnt that the channel is planning to air a ‘story so far’ of Pavitra Rishta from the view point of Manav and Archana’s daughter Purvi. Though the date for this three hour special is not yet decided, it is believed that it will be a part of the weekend programming. We tried calling Ankita Lokhande and Usha Nadkarni to get their thoughts on the show’s big achievement, but we could not reach through to them. We will surely keep you updated on this. As of now, three cheers to Zee TV and Ekta Kapoor for making a huge show like Pavitra Rishta. For the uninitiated, this is the fifth show of Ekta Kapoor to enter the 1000 club. Her earlier shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kkusum were among the very first shows to enter the elite group. Viewers, Pavitra Rishta completes its 1000 run on 15 March (2013). And the date to mark in your calendar to catch a glimpse of the major celebrations is 16 March 2013.
