The viewers of Bengali serials saw many new actresses in 2016. They all worked hard and managed to make a place for themselves. Here we present to you the top newcomers of this year (female), take a look:

Debattama Saha (E Amar Gurudakshina-Colors Bangla)

The bubbly actress hails from Silchar, Assam. She had always wanted to create a path for herself in the creative world and here she is with full determination to perform better every new day. The young actress woos everyone by her sweet voice and cute screen presence.  

Ishaa M Saha (Jhaanj Lobongo Phool-Star Jalsha)

Undoubtedly, every woman, who loves cooking, has fallen in love with Ishaa’s character (Lobongo) in the daily. The pretty lady, who was gearing up to become a lawyer but became an actress, surely has made a solid place in the hearts of the TV audience.

Shreema Bhattacherjee (Naagleela-Colors Bangla)

The young chirpy actress debuted on the small screen as Ganga in the Colors Bangla daily. With her good looks accompanied by good acting skills, she has made a mark for herself in the Bengali television.

Amila Sadhukhan (Radha-Zee Bangla)

No, she is not a slim sexy female lead of a daily. She is overweight and loves her food. Within a short span of time, with no prior training in acting, the girl is wooing everyone by pulling off the role wonderfully. An interesting character in Bengali television, we must say.  

Vinita Chatterjee (Mem Bou-Star Jalsha)

Even before the launch of her show and even before people got to know her real name, she became a popular face on various social networking sites, and mostly for wrong reasons, thanks to her reel foreign look in the daily. However, as the story moved forward, the girl managed to win the hearts of the audience by her talent. 

Amandeep Sonkar (Stree- Zee Bangla)

Not every Bengali daily gets to see a Punjabi kudi playing the female lead and that too of a typical Bengali character. The story, which launched in the end of the year, revolves around her character, Niru, who is a strong woman. Niru of course is one of the interesting characters to watch out in the coming days.
