“All maasis are like your mother, but they are much friendlier and less controlling,” said Sanah Kapur on sharing the screen with maasi Ratna Pathak Shah in Happy Family: Conditions Apply

Happy Family: Conditions Apply

MUMBAI :Amazon Original series Happy Family: Conditions Apply showcases how a joint family bonds together by living under one roof despite the family members having varied personalities. The series continues to capture audiences' hearts and has emerged as one of the most loved family comedy shows in recent times. Fans who were eagerly waiting to watch the new episodes can rejoice now as two fresh episodes will be released this Friday. Among many vibrant characters in the series, Ayushi Dholakia, played by the very promising Sanah Kapur, is the voice of ‘Gen Z’ in the family. She is outspoken and loves to tease her grandmother Hemlata, played by Ratna Pathak Shah, with different abbreviations of her name. Seeing the real-life maasi-bhanji portraying the role of dadi-poti in reel life is a delight.
Here’s what Sanah Kapur has to say  about working with her aunt Ratna Pathak in the series “While working with my Maasi, I had to take on yet another family member challenge. It was, to be honest, really exciting and entertaining, but there was pressure. She works in a completely different manner and follows a distinct format. She takes on an entirely different persona when she acts, and I learned a lot from her. She has always been the one with so much love, just like every other maasi, and our relationship has been as relatable as anybody else's. I mean, all maasis are like your mother, but they are much friendlier and less controlling. However, she is quite professional when it comes to working, and she always treated me and everyone else as equals from her end, so I never felt like I was related to her on sets. Working with my massi was definitely a unique experience, but it was also fun.”
Happy Family: Conditions Apply, produced by Hats Off Productions features an ensemble cast of Ratna Pathak Shah, Raj Babbar, Atul Kulkarni, Ayesh Jhulka, Sanah Kapur, Raunak Kamdar and Meenal Sahu in pivotal roles. The first six episodes are streaming now on Prime Video, followed by two new episodes releasing every Friday until 31st March.
