How has been the response for Meri Pyari Nikkii?

I have been getting a very good response. Actually, not many people know about it, but people who know it and have seen it through them, word of mouth publicity is happening. As now people are coming to know about the series and they are watching it and enjoying it, and I am getting a very good response. Everyone is liking the content and the performance.

What was your reaction when you heard the story for the first time?

The first time I read the script, I said yes immediately. The way the story has been written every scene is very important. When I heard the script for the first time, I loved it, and I said ‘let’s do it’ because I got very excited after hearing the story.

The teaser gives a hint that it’s a very hard-hitting concept. Is it difficult to play such characters and does it affect you mentally?

Yes, of course. When we get a character, we need to think deeply about it. We need to get the body language and other things of the character. So, this character of Nikita, I have never played such a role. It’s a very different character from what I have done earlier in shows and movies. There are scenes in it where I need to get scared and cry, so the whole day used to go with that. My head used to hurt and my eyes used to get sore, so there are such effects. Even mentally we have to prepare for the character.
