MUMBAI: Lakshmi R Iyer has been contributing to the industry not only with her acting skills but also through direction, production, and writing. The actress is known for projects like Policegiri and Appa and always delivers something interesting and different. Lakshmi is the CEO and founder of Streetsmart Production too.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with her with regard to her acting journey, where she also spoke in detail about the challenging phase of her life.

Lakshmi has been a part of this industry for 16 years now. The actress is from Delhi and says that acting was never a part of her plan. Someone suggested modeling as she has good looks. When the actress stepped into the modeling world, there was no looking back for her, and she featured in some amazing projects, which commenced with a few commercials.

The actress has worked in the Hindi and South industries. She is interested in filmmaking also. She is into direction, production, and writing.

Lakshmi says that she believes in relationship stories and would love to tell these stories to the audience as they are very relatable.

Lakshmi R Iyer on the most challenging phase of her life

The actress says that she was 24 when she got married and it was an arranged marriage, but unfortunately, that marriage ended abruptly, and post that, it was quite a challenging phase for her as she had to start everything from zero. She has now come out of it completely and she wants to look ahead and stay focused on whatever she is doing

Lakshmi R Iyer on the ongoing mantra of her life

She always wants to look at the positive side of life. If something is meant for you, that will definitely come to you, but you have to work hard to achieve it. Even though things will come late, but they definitely will.

This is some wonderful advice. What are your views it?

The actress is currently gearing up for her next directorial project titled First Second Chance starring Anant Mahadevan, Renuka Shahane, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sahil Uppal, and Nikhil Sangha.
