MUMBAI : On 11th June 2021 Zee5 brought to us an amazing series named ‘Sunflower’ featuring Sunil Grower, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, Girish Kulkarni, Mukul Chadda and many more. The series was directed by Vikas Bahl, Rahul Sengupta and Navin Gujral.

The season revolved around a quirky murder mystery in a housing society called Sunflower and a simpleton resident Sonu dives headlong into a murder mystery, ending up becoming the chief suspect.

Now the series has come back with a second season and this time a new member in the society has been introduced who is Rosie, played by Adah Sharma. Now this time the craziness has gone a level higher and the audience is excited to watch Sunil Grover as Sonu.

Team Tellychakar got in touch with Sunil Grover and got into a conversation with him where he gave some interesting details when asked about how he prepared for his character and what can the audience expect this time.

What was the reference point for this character? How did you prepare for it?

On this, Sunil Grover said that when the director Vikas Bahl had called for this character and gave him the script to read he loved it and the director later said that they will meet up and set up a workshop for the character before they start shooting. Sunil Grover added that he got clear instructions from the director as to how exactly he wants the character to be. Adding further, Sunil said that it was a very well-written character, it was a great story and the understanding they built in the 5-7 days of workshop they got to explore and so the credit goes to the director and the writers.

With the entertainment level set high from season 1, what can the audience expect from season 2 this time?

On this, Sunil Grover said that it is very difficult to make second season of any show and when it comes to Sunflower, there is a great amount of expectation due to the first season and also the cliffhanger on which the season ended but when he read the story and whatever he got to watch post shoot, he loved it and he believes that even the audience will like it. He added that now Rosie has entered the new season so there are a lots of interesting twists and turns.
