MUMBAI: Vidya Malvade is famously known for her character in Chak De! India. Since then we have seen her playing diverse roles across different platforms keeping her fans entertained at all times. Be it, Tisha Chopra, in Inside Edge 2 or Zeenat Karim in Mismatched, Vidya has nailed every character of her. Former Air hostess who made her debut with Inteha has come a long way. Fans will now get a chance to witness her in a never seen avatar in the upcoming series Abhay 3.

Abhay is a successful franchise of ZEE5. Season 1 and 2 had garnered a lot of appreciation from viewers all over India. Recently makers also revealed the trailer of season 3, it gets more darker and edgier. Vidya will be seen playing the role of Nidhi in the upcoming season.

Talking about her character, Vidya shared, “The role of Nidhi in Abhay 3 is something that I’ve never explored before. It's a very dark space, most of the work that I have done was always kind of good girl, miss goodie two shoes, etc. I was stoked that this year, people are going to see me doing varieties of characters, including Nidhi which is the darkest space that I have ever explored. The franchise is well-loved on ZEE5 and I am glad that I am a wonderful addition to this amazing franchise.”

Abhay season 3 is directed by Ken Ghosh and stars Kunal Kemmu in a leading role. The series also features Diya Agarwal, Vijay Raaz, Tanuj Virwani, Asha Negi, Nidhi Singh and Rahul Dev along with Vidya Malvade in pivotal roles. The series will premier on ZEE5 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
