MUMBAI: Over time, we have seen some amazing Bollywood movies that were loved so much by the audience that they were eagerly waiting for their sequels. The trend of the sequels in Bollywood is very exciting, as fans get to see their favourite characters and actors again.

We have seen many sequels that have made a strong mark at the box office, but did you know that there are a few movies that were supposed to have sequels that did not end up being made.

1. Agyaat

Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Agyaat was released in 2009. The movie had Nithiin in the leading role. It was supposed to be back with a sequel, but the sequel was never made.

2. Race 2

Directed by Abbas Mastan, Race 2 had John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan. The movie ended with a note that it will be continued in the sequel, but the movie Race 3 was made with a completely different cast and storyline, and the story was never continued.

3. Double Dhamaal

The sequel of Dhamaal, which had Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chaudhary, and Javed Jaffrey, was immensely loved by fans. The makers were supposed to be back with the third part in continuation with the story. But the third part titled Total Dhamaal was made with a completely different cast and storyline.

4. Aankhen

One of the most loved thrillers in Bollywood is the movie Aankhen which had Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Arjun Rampal in the leading roles. No doubt the movie is loved till today for its amazing performances and twists and turns in storyline. As per the end of the movie, the sequel of the movie was supposed to be made, which never happened.
