Close on the heels of her ex-lover Shahid Kapoor's secret engagement, we can confirm that Priyanka Chopra too has finally met her dream man. And going one step further, the actress even tied the knot with her man in a hush-hush private ceremony in USA.

The man in question is an NRI based in USA and is believed to be a doctor by profession (Wonder what's with Indian divas and American doctors). The match was an arranged one and solemnised here on earth with the blessings of both families.

Apparently, the guy's father was in the army and a close friend of Priyanka's late father Dr. Ashok Chopra. Chips in a close hand, "Priyanka knew the guy and have been friends though they were never romantically involved. While she was in USA, the guy's family met her and the marriage proposal was mooted. Priyanka took some time and after consulting her near and dear ones said yes. She has always admired the guy."

Only extremely close family members were invited for the wedding. "Parineeti missed out on the wedding as she was not keeping well, " informs a source.

As of now, Priyanka's husband (whose name we are yet to dig out) is staying back in the USA to keep pesky media at bay while the actress is returned to Mumbai today. Sources indicate that her decision to get married has nothing to do with her ex Shahid's engagement and the timing was nothing but sheer coincidence.

Priyanka remained unavailable for comments.
