MUMBAI: Ankita Lokhande tested her acting abilities in the Randeep Hooda film Swatantra Veer Savarkar following her time on Bigg Boss 17. In addition to captivating fans, Ankita Lokhande's portrayal of Yamunabai Savarkar also won over her mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain.

Ranjana Jain didn't think twice about congratulating Ankita Lokhande when the paparazzi questioned her opinion about her performance in a video that was posted by the well-known paparazzo account.

“Ankita to humesha achhi lagti hai beta, humari Ankita ekdum A1 hai (Ankita always looks good, she is A1),” she stated.

Ranjana Jain also responded positively when the paps asked her if she wanted a daughter-in-law like Ankita. She said, “Haan, toh mil gayi na (Yes, so we got her).”

Following her successful time on Salman Khan's well-known reality show Bigg Boss 17, Ankita is presently starring in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, directed by Randeep Hooda. In addition to taking the lead, Randeep is also the film's director. The film features Ankita as Randeep's spouse. When the movie debuted today, reviews are mixed.

Recently, at an event, Ankita shared that Randeep felt she was ‘too pretty’ to be cast for the film. Swatantra Veer Savarkar will mark her first film after her stint in Bigg Boss 17. At the event, Ankita said that Randeep had researched very well about her character. She then revealed, “He told me, ‘I don’t think I want you in the film’. I was like, why? He was like, ‘You are too pretty for the character (Yamunabai Savarkar)’. I was like, ‘Please don’t say that’.”

The film also features Amit Sial. Swatantra Veer Savarkar is released in theatres on March 22 in Hindi and Marathi. The film has been produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Randeep Hooda, Sandeep Singh, and Yogesh Rahar.
