Veteran actor Annu Kapoor is today known for his amazing acting histrionics, magnificent dialogue delivery and stupendous knowledge of philosophy, literature and religion. But there was a time in his life as an actor when he struggled for roles and money. In his own words, Annu says that had to struggle for roles and had to go through a lot of hardship to reach the position that he is in today. And during those days of struggle period as a junior artiste, there came a time when Annu ended up acting in a soft porn movie called Pyasi Nigahen.

Recalls Annu, "In the early 1988, a Punjabi guy called Kesar Singh came to me with a film named Pyasi Nigahen. That was my life's first semi porn film. I didn't want to do the film and told my then secretary to quote a fee of 8000 rupees per day to the producer. Unfortunately, the producer agreed to pay me my fee and I was stuck in a zone where I couldn't give him any other excuse for not doing the work and accepted the role in the movie."

Even though it was a B-grade flick, Annu says there was much hard work (pun unintended) to be done while shooting. "My director used to set up trolley shots and while rolling the trolley he used to give his running commentary. He used to say the girl is there and you are here. While canning the shot on the trolley, he used to say chummy (kiss)....chummi...chummi...chummi…and he used to stop it and okay the shot at the bust."

Thankfully, Pyasi Nigahen turned to be Annu Kapoor's only tryst with the soft porn genre.
