Yami hopes to reinvent herself in 2019

Actress Yami Gautam turned a year older on Wednesday. She says some great work is coming her way, so she wants to focus on reinventing herself next year.

The Kaabil actress will be busy with two shoots. Later in the evening, she will spend time with close friends here.

"The year 2018 has been very kind. Some really interesting work came my way...the things that I hadn't done before. As I turn a year older and definitely wiser, I hope 2019 will be more exciting," Yami said in a statement.

"I love the fact that my birthday comes at the end of each year. I love to look back and be grateful of the year gone by and make my plans ahead of what each new year will have in store for me. Some great work is coming along and things which I haven't done before, so I think my focus for next year will be reinventing myself," she added.

The Vicky Donor actress featured in Batti Gul Meter Chalu this year.

Richa begins shooting for 'Panga' in Bhopal

Actress Richa Chadha on Wednesday started shooting here for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga , based on kabaddi.

This is the first time that Richa has collaborated with Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashiwiny Tiwari. It also stars Kangana Ranaut and Pankaj Tripathi.

Panga is Richa and Pankaj's eight film together. They had starred in movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Masaan.

"I'm excited to be joining the team... Panga is a very exciting project for me as it's unlike anything I have done before. I have personally always wanted to be a part of a sports film," Richa said in a statement.

"Ashwiny and Nitesh (Tiwari) have written a very special film and I'm glad to be on board and begin filming in Bhopal," she added.

Kapil Sharma ready to embark on journey of 'love, respect' with Ginni

Comedian-actor and producer Kapil Sharma is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on 12 December in Jalandhar. He says he is ready to embark on a journey of love and respect with her.

Kapil on Tuesday shared a Twitter post, officially announcing his wedding with a heartfelt message.

"With great joy in our hearts and blessings of our parents, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that Ginni and I will embark on a new journey of love, respect and togetherness on December 12, 2018.

"We would like to thank each and everyone, who has been a part of our wonderful sojourn and seek the best wishes and prayers of our loved ones. Lots of love Kapil and Ginni."

The wedding will be followed by a reception on 14 December.

Kapil shot to fame with the show Comedy Nights With Kapil and later did The Kapil Sharma Show .

He made his Bollywood debut with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. With his second movie Firangi, Kapil ventured into production. Earlier this year, he produced Punjabi movie Son of Manjeet Singh.

Bappi Lahiri turns 65, set to direct feature film

Reinvention has been at the heart of everything that Bappi Lahiri -- who turned 65 on Tuesday -- has done in his 50-year journey in showbiz. The celebrated singer-composer, who introduced synthesised disco music in India and has taken Indian sounds to the world, is now set to don the director's hat for a feature film.

Bappi had earlier helmed a documentary Slumstars , but his new project will be in the fiction space. It is titled Ek Adhura Sangeet .

"I always think I should keep doing something every year. This time, I will begin a big journey as a director of a feature film. It's a huge journey," Bappi told a publication over a recorded response from Mumbai.

On Ek Adhura Sangeet , he said, "Like the song Zindagi mera gaana, main isi ka deewana ... I am a disco dancer ... Without music, people's lives are incomplete... Music can bring happiness in life. So, this is a journey that I am beginning."

He said the subject of his film is "very good".

"After doing 600 films across Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Oriya and Gujarati languages, I have gained a lot of experience. So, I thought I should give it a try. Maybe it does well. My wife Chitrani had produced Lal Darja which won a National Award in 1997... Whatever film I make, it won't be average. I can't say it will be superhit, but nobody will say it's a bad film. I am confident I will make a good film, whether it works or not," said Bappi.

Bappi also hinted at doing "something" in Hollywood.

"My son Bappa and I are working with a Latin group," he said, adding that one never knows he may just be directed by a Hollywood filmmaker.

Adding another feather to his hat, Bappi has also written a book titled World, Peace, Love and Harmony: We Are One .

"It has good words like 'our colour of blood is one', 'our emotion is one'... It's all in the form of poetry," said the Ooh la la and Tamma tamma singer, who is proud of his journey in the film industry and beyond.

"The journey is still on... The public loves me so much. I perform all over the world. I am not just a composer, I am also a singer. I sing with the public one-to-one, and it feels so good when the public, including youngsters, sway to and sing along songs that were made 20-25 years ago.

"I performed Chalte chalte mere ye geet yaad rakhna at a recent event. I sang and the public joined in with the words Kabhi alvida naa kehna . It was beautiful," he said of the evergreen track, sung by Kishore Kumar and penned by Amit Khanna.

He said while it is very difficult to choose a favourite song from his discography, Chalte chalte is special as "it feels like a Bollywood anthem".

Tracing his glorious journey that has spanned generations, Bappi, who has even collaborated with international artistes, said, "From Dev Anand to Dilip Kumar to Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh, the journey in Bollywood has been great. In Bengali cinema, the journey has spanned from Uttam Kumar, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Tapas Paul to Dev.

"My songs don't get old. Everyone likes to dance to these songs, and there are also sad and romantic songs."

The 50 years, he says, have been all about getting a lot of love and happiness. He expressed this by breaking into his song De de pyaar de... Humein pyaar de de , and said, "I have really got a lot of love, blessings, and I thank everyone for all of this."

His mantra in life is to "Keep working. Don't look back. Do something new."

And so, he has also sung a song for a Marathi film Lucky .

"I am sure it will bring a celebratory mood in Maharashtra," he said, exuding his signature exuberance.

Akshay Kumar’s negative roles in Bollywood movies

The Khiladi Akshay Kumar trilled the audiences by his stunning look in 2.0. Akshay has received love and support from his fans for his negative role in 2.0, and his look in the movie is the talk of the town. South superstar Rajinikanth is the hero of 2.0 but viewers are excited about Akshay’s negative character. Akshay has played negatives roles before also.

In the film Ajnabee , Akshay’s negative role brought twist when the friend turned out to be negative, and the film created a buzz among the youngsters at that time. He also received Best Villian Filmfare Award for the film.

Aflatoon

Akshay again played twins in this thriller, which was directed by Guddu Dhanao. The film did not do well at the box office.

Khiladi 420

Here again he played a double role. He was seen as the hero as well as the villain. The film failed to do business.

Priyanka and Nick get ready for their wedding ceremonies as seen outside PC’s house

Priyanka and Nick’s wedding will take place in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace. It will be a grand wedding in full Panjabi style with all the rituals. The wedding rituals started with puja at Priyanka’s old house Raj Classic in Versova. The desi girl was seen in a light blue salwar kameez with embroidery and Nick Jonas dressed in pink kurta with a cream churidhaar. Ayushmann’s “Badhaai Ho” breaks the records of Baahubali 2

Badhaai Ho, featuring Ayushmann Kurana and Sanaya Malhothra, is the only Bollywood movie doing well at the box office. Despite the release of films like Bazaar and Thugs of Hindostan , Badhaai Ho is running successfully and entertaining audiences. Well, the film has set new record with Rs 3.85 crore and broke the record of Baahubali 2 (Rs 3.35 crore).

Director Amit Ravindernath Sharma said that the film was made with honesty and conviction. He also said that the story made good presence on-screen as they expected, and the team is thankful to audience for appreciating their efforts. He mentioned that Junglee Picture’s objective is to focus on stories and entertain people. After Raazi , Badhaai Ho is a special film for him.

Badhaai Ho managed to become the sixth highest grosser Bollywood movie of the year after Sanju, Padmaavat, Baaghi 2, Thugs of Hindostan and Race 3 . Ayushmann gave credit to audiences and said that audiences’ support motivates him to work hard. As an actor he wants to entertain people, and he managed to entertain which makes him happy.

In an interview, Sara, who is making her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath , spoke about her bond with her brothers, Taimur and Ibrahim. She said that both are equally cute and naughty though the level of their naughtiness differs.  She also said that she and her brother (Ibrahim) share a close bonding with their mother and they share everything with her.
