Singer Chris Brown arrested after Florida concert

Singer, songwriter, and actor Chris Brown was arrested here soon after he wrapped up a concert.

Brown had finished a show at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach here on Thursday when he was led to a police cruiser, TMZ reported.

He was wanted on a felony battery warrant from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office, according to WPTV, pagesix.com reported.

A widely awarded music celebrity, Brown had received significant media attention after he pleaded guilty for assaulting his former beau Rihanna in 2009. He was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service for this.

Idris Elba to play the villain in 'Fast and Furious' spinoff

Hollywood actor Idris Elba is in final talks to play the main villain in Fast and Furious spin-off titled Hobbs and Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is on board to helm, with Johnson and Statham reprising their roles as special agent Luke Hobbs and criminal mastermind Deckard Shaw, respectively, reports variety.com.

Fast and Furious architect Chris Morgan penned the script, with production set to commence this fall. The film will see the often-at-odds pair teaming up.

Alba says she still needs to lose pounds

Actress Jessica Alba says she still has 15 pounds to lose after giving birth to son Hayes.

The mother of three took to Instagram Stories to share a gym selfie, reports etonline.com.

Alba captioned it, "Still got 15 lbs to go. This is my most challenging considering I didn't gain as much w Hayes. Six months postpartum."

She added, "Got it in," along with flexed arm and sweat emojis.

Linda Hunt recovering after car crash

Oscar-winning actress Linda Hunt says her health is improving after her car crash.

The Morristown, New Jersey-born actress, 73, shared her health update by issuing a statement to CBS2 Los Angeles on Tuesday in the wake of a car accident in which she was involved on Monday, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"I was involved in a minor traffic accident and taken to the hospital," the "NCIS: Los Angeles" star said.

"I'm pleased to report I'm recovering well and have no serious injuries. Thank you for all the well wishes! I'm looking forward to starting production on 'NCIS: Los Angeles' later this summer."

'First Purge' director on its Donald Trump moment

Director Gerard McMurray says his film First Purge is about making fun of things that make news, including US President Donald Trump's infamous 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape. The film caused a stir in January when it debuted a campaign-style teaser that borrowed from Trump's Make America Great slogan.

There is a scene that calls back to Trump's infamous tape in which he bragged about grabbing women "by the p***y".

Protagonist Nya (essayed by Lex Scott Davis) is attacked by a masked man who grabs her crotch, and when she successfully fights him off, she calls him a "p***y-grabbing motherf***er".

"It was making fun of what's in the news. It was real -- and Nya, played by Lex, is a very strong character," hollywoodreporter.com quoted McMurray as saying.

McMurray, who directed First Purge from a script by series creator James DeMonaco, added, "It's about women fighting back."

Pink gives daughter a kiss during gig

Singer Pink gave her daughter Willow a kiss during her concert here.

This week, the 38-year-old pop star kicked off the nearly two-month long Australian leg of her 'Beautiful Trauma World Tour' in Perth. On the second of a four-night stint at Perth Arena on Wednesday, Pink brought her eight-year-old daughter, Willow, out on stage, reports etonline.com.

Wearing colourful leggings, black tank-top and purple noise-cancelling headphones, Willow looked delighted to be up on stage as her mother -- rocking a red jumpsuit -- gave her a big kiss in front of the crowd.

Lasse Hallstrom, Joe Johnston to share directing credit for 'Nutcracker'

Lasse Hallstrom and Joe Johnston will have a shared directing credit on Disney’s upcoming film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.

The helmers will be listed on the same title card for The Nutcracker, which stars Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, and Misty Copeland, and Mackenzie Foy, reports variety.com.

Hallstrom was the first director on the movie. Johnston was hired for a month of re-shoots, requiring extensive special effects, when Hallstrom was not available to film the additional footage.

Typically, under the Directors Guild of America's rules, only one filmmaker can be credited with directing a film. That was the case on Bohemian Rhapsody, in which Bryan Singer was given the credit, even though he was fired in the latter stages of shooting and replaced by Dexter Fletcher.

That rule can be waived to allow two directors to be credited when filmmakers have a history of working together or share a common vision, such as the case with the brother teams of Joel and Ethan Coen and Joe and Anthony Russo.

In the case of The Nutcracker, Hallstrom offered to share the "directed by" credit with Johnson, who accepted. Disney agreed to list both as director.
