Congrats! Shreya Ghoshal welcomes her little bundle of joy; says, 'it's an emotion never felt before
MUMBAI: Congratulations are in order for Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal and her entrepreneur husband, Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya who welcomed their first child, a baby boy on Saturday, May 22.
The new mom shared the happy news with all her fans and friends on her social media handle and thanked her well-wishers for their blessings.
"God has blessed us with a precious baby boy this afternoon. It’s an emotion never felt before. @shiladitya and I along with our families are absolutely overjoyed. Thank you for your countless blessings for our little bundle of joy," she wrote in the caption.
The news of the baby's birth comes shortly after the singer announced her pregnancy on March 4.
The 36-year-old singer took to Instagram and shared her picture cradling the baby bump and penned a caption that read, "Baby #Shreyaditya is on its way! @shiladitya and I are thrilled to share this news with you all."
"Need all your love and blessings as we prepare ourselves for this new chapter in our lives," she added.
The singer tied the knot with Mukhopadhyaya, 37, in 2015 after a courtship of almost a decade.
Ghoshal has sung several popular songs, including 'Ghar More Pardesiya' from 'Kalank', the title track of 'Dhadak', 'Deewani Mastani' from 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Bairi Piya' from 'Devdas', which marked her debut in 2002.
