Actor-politician Soham Chakraborty, who was seen in Bengali flicks like Katmundu, Golpo Holeo Shotti and Loveria, says that he is enjoying fatherhood.

Soham became father to a baby boy this July. So, when Tellychakkar.com asked about ‘Papa Soham’s’ experience, he expressed warmly, “Now Papa Soham is staying up late in the night. I am also changing diapers of our baby. When it comes to taking care of our son, I have become my wife’s assistant.”

“Although I am getting less sleep now, I am enjoying fatherhood,” he added with a smile.

The actor was present at the recently held Asian Food Festival organized at a Kolkata food joint, The Noodle Hub.

Soham admitted that he is a foodie and loves to gorge on all the typical Bengali dishes.

“Ilish macher matha diye kochur shag, laau chingri, muri ghonto…I love all the typical Bengali dishes. Macher teller bora is one of my favourite food items. I eat all types of fishes except the dry ones,” said the actor.  

He added, “Earlier I used to eat these dishes without any second thought. But now since I need to maintain my health and fitness, I control my diet. Now I focus more on the boiled chicken and vegetables.”

When asked if he ever had cooked any special dish for his wife, Tanaya, he replied, “I am not at all a good cook. I can only prepare Maggie, egg poach and toast.”

Soham also shared his Durga Puja plans. He said that during the occasion he prefers not to work.

He said, “I love to feel the smell of Durga puja and I don’t like working during those four days. In fact I had never studied in my life during the occasion. Puja means enjoyment and relishing delicious food.”

“And this year is special because I will be enjoying Puja with my son,” he signed off.
