I love doing small roles provided they are rich in content: Anirban Bhattacharya

Anirban Bhattacharya about Durga Sohay and more.
Theatre and film actor Anirban Bhattacharya, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Durga Sohay, says that he doesn’t mind playing small roles if they are strong. Arindam Sil's Durga Sohay, which is a family drama with a thriller element, will see Anirban in a small but pivotal role. He is essaying a negative character who is involved with the world of crime. His character will enter the Basak family, create complex situations and gradually destroy the warm feel of Durga Puja. The Bengali film stars many popular faces like Sohini Sarkar, Dipankar De, Tonushree Chakraborty, and Indrasish Roy to name a few. So, at the trailer launch of the film, when Tellychakkar.com quizzed if he is worried about getting sidelined because of his small role and the presence of such well-known actors, Anirban said with confidence, “I love to do small roles provided they are rich in content.” “And I was never scared because I had immense faith on Arindam da. I know that even if he calls me for a role which has one minute scene presence, it would be strong.” Way to go, young man! Anirban has earlier acted in films like Eagoler Chokh, Arshinagar and Colkatay Columbus. Durga Sohay is slated to hit the screens on 28th April. Keep visiting this space for more updates.
