MUMBAI: The well known actor of the Hindi film industry Imran Khan and an uncle to Ira Khan, recently shared his response to a social media user who criticized Ira's upcoming podcast, ‘Call Me Hopeful.’ In the trailer of the new podcast, Imran Khan is featured discussing the topic of gaslighting, among other guests.

However, one user gives their  opinion, suggesting that the podcast caters only to the elite class. It read, ‘Made by and for the elites. Awaiting discussions on the mental health of marginalised people, workers, peasants and landless laborers, especially women!’

Imran Khan is a fearless actor and he addressed the criticism where he took Instagram to respond. He shared a positive message he received from a viewer who had actually listened to the podcast. In his Instagram story, Imran reposted the comment, along with his thoughtful response. He expressed a desire for constructive dialogue, stating, ‘Here’s a message I received from a woman who actually watched the episode. I wish we could find a way to add to the conversation without tearing each other.’

Ira Khan's podcast, ‘Call Me Hopeful,’ focuses on mental health conversations, with Imran Khan being the first guest on the show. Together with Dr. Vikram Patel, they had the conversation about the evolution of mental health discussions over time and other pertinent topics. Ira's initiative to advocate for mental health awareness is commendable.
