MUMBAI: It was a day of mourning for the Kapoor family, as the wife of veteran actor Raj Kapoor passed away yesterday at 4 AM. One of the most influential ladies in the film fraternity, she was a woman of substance.
She was very close to her grandchildren, and we all know that Ranbir Kapoor was her favourite. When Ranbir had moved out of the apartment he shared with ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, he stayed with his grandmother until his bachelor pad was being designed by Gauri Khan.
However, despite being so close to his grandmother, the actor was unable to attend the last rites as he was in New York with mom Neetu Kapoor for his dad Rishi Kapoor’s surgery.
However, the actor was virtually present throughout the ceremony, thanks to girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. The actress was on a video call with someone in a video that's going viral on social media, and everyone is sure that it’s none other than Ranbir. The quality is poor and it's hard to decode if that's really him, but who else would it be? The occasion wasn't apt for her to video call anyone else.
