Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan give their thumbs up to Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami
It was a power packed dream launch for Nautanki Films’ debut movie venture, Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami helmed by Abhinav Shukla. The who's who of Bollywood from Irrfan Khan to Tigmanshu Dhulia made their presence felt yesterday at a suburban multiplex where the trailer was launched amidst immense fanfare. However, one man who stole the show with his sheer charisma and acerbic wit was Bollywood’s undisputed King, Shah Rukh Khan. Despite his busy schedule (the actor is super busy preparing for the trailer launch of his own movie, Happy New Year) SRK graciously made time to launch the trailer. And all this only because the superstar was mighty impressed with the plot of the film that revolves around father-son relationship. Talking about the movie, SRK said that with a title as unique as Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami and a plot that revolves around father-son relationship and the power of a common man the movie would be a sure shot winner. Speaking on father and his sons' relationship, SRK said, “A father's greatest joy would be to see his sons keeping him happy when he gets old.” SRK who has seen the rushes of the film likened it to Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and praised Anupam Kher for excelling in the role of a common man. Among the galaxy of stars present were acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan and noted director, Tigmanshu Dhulia who too strongly espoused the message of the movie. Before the trailer launch kicked off, a skit was presented by lead actors Divyendu Sharma and Manu Rishi where they tried to sell off their old father (Anupam Kher) like an old car on a e-commerce site. Anupam Kher soon joined the skit and derided their attempt to sell off their own old father. A felicitation of SRK followed post which the trailer of the movie was officially launched. Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami will release in India on 10 October.
