MUMBAI: The iconic duo Shakti Kapoor and Govinda will be reuniting on the silver screens. Last seen together in 2012’s Deewana Main Deewana,Govinda and Shakti are two of the most popular and lovable comedians of their times. They have been tickling the funny bones of the audience for a long time. They have done around 42 films together and the audience has loved seeing them together.

Now, after five years, the duo will be seen again for Pahlaj Nihlani’s upcoming comedy film, Raju Rangeela. “The camaraderie between Shakti-Govinda would be just the same like we’ve seen in their previous movies,” a source adds.

Shakti Kapoor, 65, is playing a pivotal character in the film.

Joining the cast would be yesteryear actor Prem Chopra. The 82-year old veteran has always cracked the audience with his eerie humour. Over the years, he has been highly choosey about his film projects. He was last seen in 2018’s Udanchhoo.

According to a little birdie, both the actors have interesting characters on the lines of the 90s’ comedy cults.

Raju Rangeela will be an exciting venture for the loyal fans of ChiChi, as he will be seen essaying triple roles. The movie stars three leading ladies as well. Bigg Boss 9 contestant Digangna Suryavanshi is playing one of the leads.

The shooting has been completed recently and the movie is slated to release in a few months.
